Step up the fun at your next tailgate party or picnic with Triumph Sports Ladder Toss! This challenging game requires teams or individuals to take turns throwing the roped bolas at the opposite ladder in an attempt to gain the most points. The 2 ladders are a snap to set up and when the fun is over, they fit neatly into the included carrying bag. Game includes 6 bolas; 3 red and 3 blue. RULES: Individuals or teams take turns tossing 3 bolas to the opposite team's ladder at an official distance of 15 feet. For children, the distance can be adjusted for playability. Bolas can be thrown any way the player chooses, as long as they are thrown individually - they can even be bounced off the ground. Players can also knock off bolas during the course of the round; in fact, knocking off other players' bolas is a good defensive strategy, as ropes knocked off during play do not score points. After all players are done, scoring is determined by the bolas that are left hanging from the rungs. The top rung is worth 3 points, the middle 2 points, and the bottom earns 1 point. Players or teams can score one bonus point by hanging all 3 bolas from the same rung or by hanging a bola on all 3 rungs in one round. The team or player with the highest score throws first in the next round. Games are played to exactly 21 points. If a team or player goes over 21 points, their points for that round do not count. For example, a team with 18 points needs 3 points to win; if they earn 5 points at the end of a round, none of those points count and they will enter the next round with 18 points once again. In the case of a tie, players will play "overtime" until they score 2 or more points to win.
